We masterminded this Italian designer brand’s first foray into retail with a store in central Paris. The design and layout of stores, corners or display areas requires an understanding of the visual as well as the logistical use of space. Together with Italian architect, Giancarlo Alhadeff, we chose Canadian maple for the floors and ceiling for naturalness, light and warmth, open steel mesh and steel bamboo structures to give a sense of strength and modern technology, opaque glass, sanded and highly lacquered, allowing a soft transparent glow, and finally, dramatic mirroring for depth. We provided labelling & packaging for the products to complement the image of the brand and reflect the style of the store and built an advertising campaign, from creative concept to media planning using the same criteria.
